Centro de Alcoologia Ricardo Pampuri

Aims: The Center is for treatment of alcoholics including programs in prevention, education, training, relapse prevention and advocacy. The hospital treats all kinds of mental patients.

Activities: In the last 25 years, 5,000 patients (alcoholics) have been treated. In the psychiatric hospital, more than 3,000 alcoholics with psychiatric troubles have also been treated. The Center hosts conferences on alcohol-related problems for professionals as well as programs for health education and prevention for children and young people. It publishes leaflets and organises monthly meetings for relapse prevention as well as programs for rehabilitation and integration.
