PHEPA
The Primary Health Care European Project on Alcohol (Phepa) was a project which aimed at integrating health promotion interventions for hazardous and harmful alcohol consumption into primary health care professionals' daily clinical work.
Phepa has produced European recommendations and clinical guidelines on best practice for health care purchasers and providers; a training programme for primary health care professionals, a comprehensive Internet site database on good practice, and a series of country specific dissemination strategies.

Background:
Phepa, the Primary Health Care European Project on Alcohol, brought together professionals from 18 EU countries that joined together to achieve consensus in the field management of alcohol problems in primary health care settings, to develop useful products and to provide through this website information and resources for professionals across the EU who want to know more about this topic.
The project was funded by the European Commission and the Department of Health of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia.
Aims and Objectives:

PHEPA Network:
As a result of the Phepa Project "Primary Health Care European Project on Alcohol" a network of 18 countries has been developed: The 18 countries that are members of PHEPA.net are: Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic , Denmark , England, Finland , France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland , Portugal , Slovenia , Spain and Sweden.
