Eurocare is very pleased with the amendments tabled by the socialist shadow rapporteur regading alcoholic beverages
Eurocare was very pleased to see the amendments tabled by Dorette Corbey (shadow rapporteur for the socialists) to the Commission's proposal on food information to consumers.
Ms Corbey has together with Glenis Willmott (PSE) tabled amendments requiring all alcoholic beverages to provide information on their ingredients, carbohydrates and the total amount of energy.
Dorette Corbey has also in a separate amendment asked for alcohol containers to carry warnings for pregnant women.
The first discussion on the amendments in the leading Committee (Committee for Environment and Health) will take place on 16th February.
