ACTIVE launches CONTENT MATTERS campaign to shed light on the truth about alcohol

We all witness every day the glamorous side of alcohol consumption. Rap stars sing about it, sportsmen and women celebrate their biggest victories with it and teenagers worship it as a sign of ultimate coolness. In the face of this partial picture, ACTIVE has launched a campaign called “Content Matters”.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness among the general public of the strong connection between alcohol and violence. The main focus of the campaign will be young people and their concerns - How are children and teenagers affected by violence among adults? Is alcohol a given part of youth culture? etc

People of all ages are, however, welcome to express their ideas about the topic.

From April to November 2009 they will all have a chance to tell their stories, send pictures, and create slogans and graphic designs in order to draw people's attention to the problems caused by alcohol and the link with violence.

The final product of the campaign will be a book with all the stories received and the best photos and designs.
