EUCAM held a conference on alcohol marketing (20-21 November, Brussels)

EUCAM, the European Centre for Monitoring Alcohol held a work conference in Brussels on 20-21 November in Brussels. The meeting was attended by 30 delegates, including scientists and NGO representatives.

Speakers included:

Jonathan Beck, DG Sanco, European Commission (“EC strategy on Alcohol Marketing”)

Ross Gordon, Institute of Social Marketing, University of Sterling (“The Effects of Alcohol Marketing”)

David Jernigan, Centre on Alcohol Marketing and Youth (CAMY), John Hopkins University (“Monitoring the Volume of Alcohol Marketing”).

Thamarangsi Thaksaphon, Ministry of Health, Thailand (“Alcohol marketing in Thailand”)
