RAND WORKSHOP – “Understanding the link between alcohol affordability, consumption and harms”.

Brussels, 11 November.

Background: The Directorate-General for Health of the European Commission has commissioned a study on the affordability of alcohol beverages in the EU ("Understanding the link between alcohol affordability, consumption and harms” to RAND Europe.

On 11 November, RAND Europe organised a workshop on the study in Brussels (from 2 to 5pm).

The objective of the workshop was to develop a set of recommendations and concrete tools for actions both for economic operators and for policy-makers at national and EU level, based on the findings of RAND Europe's study.

Among the participants in the workshop there were some members of the Forum and experts recommend by them, as well as some members of the Science Group and of the Committee on National Alcohol Policy and Action.
