Caren Willig

Caren Willig joined Eurocare in November 2024 as the Senior Project and Communications Manager (part-time), working on the implementation of Eurocare projects, grant applications, communications, and events. Previously, Caren worked at the Smoke Free Partnership (SFP) for ten years as the Project, Operations and Communications Manager.

Caren wrote a successful bid for the for the European Audience development project, project managed two pan-European Film Literacy projects, and worked for The International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF). Before moving to Brussels, Caren was a Film Education Officer, Project Manager, and Researcher at the British Film Institute (BFI) in London, working on over 50 BFI Education Resources, BFI online resources, and numerous other BFI Education projects.

She also ran study days for A-level students on German cinema. Caren holds a MA in Media and Communications from Goldsmiths College, University of London, a BA in Rhetoric and Cultural Studies and a diploma in Critical and Creative Writing from the University of Tübingen (Germany). She speaks German, English and French.
