Eurocare is an alliance of non-governmental and public health organisations with member organisations across European countries advocating the prevention and reduction of alcohol related harm in Europe.
Member organisations are involved in advocacy and research, as well as in the provision of information and training on alcohol issues and the service for people whose lives are affected by alcohol problems.
Eurocare has strong and established democratic governance structures centred on a prestigious Board of alcohol policy experts, all with a track record in alcohol policy and research at national, European, and global level. The Board is elected by its General Assembly for a term of three years, meeting quarterly.
Board members
Eurocare ensures policy makers receive independent scientific evidence on labelling alcoholic beverages through its Alcohol Labelling and Health Warnings International Expert Group. Its work informs policymakers across Europe and negotiations of the Codex labelling standard.
Expert Committee membersEurocare has over 50 members in 21 countries with equally wide-ranging expertise in tackling alcohol harm. They are involved in research and advocacy, offering the public information, the provision of counselling services and residential support.

The executive team of Eurocare is responsible for delivering the programme set by the Board under the leadership of renown health policy advocate Florence Berteletti. To do so it combines individuals with expertise in law, communications, advocacy, finance and administration.
