Campaigns and Communication

Success in advocating for alcohol policy depends on establishing a broad foundation of understanding and support among policy makers, civil society and engaged citizens. Eurocare’s communications activities are focussed on creating this base.

The Awareness Week on Alcohol Related Harm

Eurocare is has led a series of annual awareness weeks to focus policymakers’ attention on Europe’s devastating level of alcohol harm. AWARH22 focussed on citizens’ Right to Know.

European Alcohol Policy Conference

Eurocare runs a series of biannual conferences bringing together the alcohol policy community. Its 9th conference took place in Oslo in summer 2022, bringing together innovators, policymakers, academics, people with lived experience, storytellers and health advocates.

Interaction, human connection and curiosity are key elements of effective communication. The Eurocare team and its member organisations organise and participate in dozens of diverse events over the year, as delegates, speakers and moderators.

MEP Interest Group on Health Inequalities, Prevention and Risk Factors

Public health champions gathered on Tuesday, 18 February, to launch the Interest Group on Health Inequalities, Prevention and Risk Factors. This interest group is determined to act in a clear and decisive way, influencing different policies that affect health, particularly by addressing the main NCD risk factors.
